What personal data Reno Easy handles, why, and what your rights are. As plain as we could make it.

Questions about privacy: privacy@renoeasy.co.
2. Two roles
For the renovation and interior businesses that use Reno Easy (our customers), we decide what happens to their account details. For that data we are the controller.
Our customers also use Reno Easy for their own clients and leads: names, addresses, photos of homes, quotes. For that data the business is the controller, and we only process it on its behalf, under our processing agreement. Are you a client of one of our customers? Please contact that business first; we help them answer you.
3. What we keep about our customers
- Your login: email address and a protected (hashed) password.
- Your company details as you enter them: name, address, registration and VAT numbers, bank account, logo, colours and terms.
- Your subscription: plan, status and payments. Payments run through Whop; we never see your card details.
- What you make in the app, and technical logs (such as errors) to keep it running and secure.
4. What our customers keep about their clients
When a business uses Reno Easy for a client or lead, we store on its behalf:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number and address.
- Photos and drawings of the home, measurements, notes, voice memos and their transcripts.
- Designs, videos, quotes, proposals and invoices.
- When a proposal or change order is signed: the name typed, the time, the IP address and the browser, as proof of the signature.
- When a quote, proposal or invoice was opened, and whether an email was opened or a link in it clicked (through a tiny image and tracked links), so the business knows where things stand.
- For requests through a website widget: a scrambled (hashed) version of the IP address, to stop abuse. It can't be turned back into the address.
5. Why, and on what basis
- To provide the service you signed up for (contract).
- To keep the service secure and stop abuse (legitimate interest).
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping our own billing records (legal obligation).
- To email you about your account and the service. No newsletters without your consent.
6. AI
To make designs, videos, quote drafts and voice transcripts, the photos, notes and recordings involved are sent to the AI services listed below, only for that task. We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't sell it.
7. Who we share data with
Only with the services we need to run Reno Easy, each bound by data protection terms:

8. Outside the EU
The database and files are stored in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Some of the services above are based outside the EU. Where data goes there, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
9. How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. You can download everything and delete your account at any time under Settings → Account. We then delete your data and files within 30 days; backups roll over within another 30 days. What the law makes us keep, such as our own invoices to you, we keep for as long as required.
Your invoices to your clients are part of your bookkeeping: download them before you delete your account.
10. Cookies
Only the cookies the site needs to work: to keep you signed in and to remember your language and light or dark look. No advertising or tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.
11. Security
Connections are encrypted, stored data is encrypted, every business can only reach its own data, and only a few people can reach the systems, for support and maintenance.
12. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, and object to or limit how we use it. Much of this you can do yourself in the app; for the rest, email privacy@renoeasy.co. We answer within a month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example in the country where you live. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
13. Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top, and we email our customers when the change matters.
